Features of E3D Volcano Nozzle Structure
As shown in the diagram, E3D Volcano nozzle has a slightly enlarged threaded section compared to nozzles from other brands. This feature significantly increases the melting chamber for the filament. Such a seemingly minor detail allows for a considerable acceleration of the 3D printing process.
Volcano nozzles are recommended for 3D printing large objects. Thanks to the enlarged melting chamber, nozzles with an outlet diameter of up to 1.2 mm can be easily used without needing to decrease print speed or increase temperature.The threaded part of the nozzle and the Volcano heating block have an M6 thread. This feature allows for a relatively quick modification of the E3D hot-end on your 3D printer for high-speed printing.
Important! Installing the heating block and Volcano nozzle will alter the Z-axis settings on your printer. Be sure to take this into account when upgrading your 3D printer.
